Why Choose the Manduka eKO Series?

The Manduka eKO series combines the superior grip of natural rubber (grip) with a sustainable, biodegradable construction. These mats stand apart from other rubber mats on the market with "Tri-Layer" technology, which increases the mat's durability and prevents it from stretching over time. With closed-cell technology that keeps sweat and bacteria from getting into the mat, the eKO series promises maximum hygiene and long-lasting use in your practice.

Which eKO Mat Is Right for You? (5mm, 4mm, 1.5mm)

Frequently asked questions about Manduka eKO Series: Natural Rubber Yoga Mats

Do Manduka eKO mats slip?

Thanks to its closed-cell surface, the eKO series doesn't absorb sweat, and its rubber texture provides a very strong grip for both dry and slightly damp hands. For very sweaty practices, we recommend pairing it with a yoga mat towel.

How should eKO series mats be cleaned?

To preserve the natural rubber, use only Manduka's "Natural Rubber Mat Wash" spray or a water-and-vinegar mixture. Don't leave the mat in direct sunlight (so the rubber doesn't dry out).

What's the main difference between the eKO Lite and Superlite?

The eKO Lite is 4mm thick and rolls up, making it ideal for studio use. The eKO Superlite is 1.5mm thick and folds to fit in a bag, making it a professional travel mat.
